  • The Reborn-Art Festival is a unique opportunity for visitors to experience art, music, and food throughout the Oshika Peninsula, central Ishinomaki, and Onagawa.

Artists present contemporary art pieces reflecting their vision of this year's festival theme: altruism and fluidity. The magnificent White Deer (Oshika) sculpture, which serves as the symbol of the festival, stands on a beach hill overlooking the ocean and symbolizes the primal energy of the area.

Musical and food are also central elements of the festival, with pop-up restaurants serving dishes incorporating local ingredients, and events such as the Ishinomaki Food Adventure, which allows visitors to explore local ingredients and cuisine with local fishermen and artists. Music performances including concerts and traditional Japanese festival dances will also be featured.

For more information, read our interview with the festival founder and 2019 festival report here on Visit Miyagi, or see the official event website.
