Eboshi Resort is a ski/snowboard resort favored by locals for having an optimal balance between quality runs and easy access. About half of the runs are geared toward beginners, making it a worthwhile destination for a wide range of skill levels. Gear rental is available, and night ski is offered most nights of the week.
Something that makes this resort unique is the variety of events held throughout the year. In winter, these range from fireworks shows to Penguin Walk events, where penguins from the Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium come on their very own “field trip” to romp in the snow. During green season, the resort offers stargazing and flower-viewing events, like in May when the slopes take on a new life as a field of 60,000 narcissus flowers.
