  • Take a ride on a local fisherman’s boat for a sunset cruise of Kesennuma Bay. On this sixty to ninety-minute cruise, the boat will loop around the rafts which are used to grow seaweed and oysters in the bay. A local guide will give you a the rundown on oyster and seaweed aquaculture in Kesennuma, and will also talk a little bit about how the topography of the bay was changed by the 2011 tsunami. The beautiful views of the Sanriku coastline at sundown at will be any photographer’s delight.
