Go for a swim at one of Matsushima Bay’s scenic islands! Katsurashima Island, one of the five Urato Islands accessible by ferry from Shiogama, is home to a swimming beach. Katsurashima Beach beach is wide, white and sandy. Showers, toilets, and snack sales are available here during the swimming season. Visitors can also hike around the island to catch impressive views of the other islands of Matsushima Bay.
