  • Onikobe is the largest ski resort in Northern Miyagi. It offers a fairly even mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs. In addition to groomed slopes, it also boasts one of the longest ungroomed powder runs in Miyagi. Night skiing is offered Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Onikobe Ski Resort is one of the most convenient and comfortable multi-day ski destinations in Miyagi. Several charming lodges are clustered around the base of the resort, meaning guests can simply walk between lodging and slopes—no driving or shuttle bus necessary. Many of the lodges feature on-site natural hot spring baths, a cozy way to pass the evening—if you’re not spending it on the slopes!
