  • Restaurant Naruko no Kaze is the brewpub of Naruko Onsen Brewery, an award-winning sake and beer microbrewery. The awards they have won are for their doburoku, a thick, unfiltered farmhouse-style sake. They also brew several varieties of beer, most incorporating local ingredients like Yukimusubi rice and yamabudo (wild mountain grapes). You can enjoy their beers on tap here, or purchase bottles of it and the doburoku as souvenirs. To accompany the brews, the pub serves Japanese diner staples like ramen and curry rice.

    Better yet, the brewpub is nestled in the midst of low mountains, next door to hot springs and the Fukiage Kogen Campground, making for a comfortable outdoor getaway.
