Located in Kawasaki City just north of Sendai, Michinoku Park is a popular venue for flower viewing, music concerts, and events throughout the year. However, throughout December the entire park will be decorated with over 110,000 Christmas lights at night, transforming the area into a magical Christmas spectacle. The lighting was inspired by imagining a combination of a full starry sky with the flowing waters of Zao. The lights illuminate from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. only on weekends starting from November 30, but will be turned on every day from December 21 and onward leading towards Christmas.
